The Campsite and estuary is absolutely lovely for an overnight/couple of days camping as well as day visit. The small, mostly quite & private camping ground (15 sites approx w toilet block, non-potable water for light washing) is nestled amongst the forest on top of the hill with nearby views overlooking the small estuary.

I've been visiting and camping here for nearly 20 years. It used to be free camping but more recently a fee now applies. It's can be booked out during peak seasons in summer but that's rare. Blanket Bay (very popular for camping), Crayfish Bay, the Otway Lighthouse and the Redwood forest are close-by, and it's a 25 minute drive back to Apollo bay.

There's a fairly steep but short walk down to the the beach (250m) which opens up onto a wide sandy, secluded beach with a small mineral-rich creek/river running out into the ocean. It's really very beautiful and peaceful little place.

Limited facilities but beautiful views over Parker Inlet, definitely worth spending a night. The access road is passable in a 2WD but quite rough.

Parker Hill is the kind of place where you feel like the rest of the world is far away.
